Dead Golf battery in Al Furjan – any mobile VW specialists with VCDS?
I've been having a rough morning. Went out to my 2020 Golf and it was completely dead, just a click and then nothing. I got a jump start and it ran, but I know the battery is beyond saving. I'm in Al Furjan and I'm trying to avoid the hassle of towing it somewhere. I've found a few mobile services online that cover this area and offer VW battery replacement with a quick turnaround , but what I'm really paranoid about is the coding aspect. I've been reading that with modern VW Group cars, you absolutely have to register the new battery using a diagnostic tool like VCDS or OBDeleven . Without that, the Battery Management System doesn't know it's a new battery and can overcharge or undercharge it, which just kills it faster . I need a Certified Volkswagen battery workshop serving Al Furjan that can do a proper BMS reset, because I've heard that skipping it can really shorten the battery's life and mess with the stop-start system . Has anyone here used a mobile service that actually does the coding properly?
